I'm from the kingston area and trying to set up a trip when the ice arrives and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the local hut rentals and guides. Just looking for ideas who to contact.
I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered.

Thanks in advance

Welcome, check this page all very good operators

What are you planning to fish for? Perch / Pike or Whitefish / Lake Trout

I'm hoping to try fishing for the whitefish and trout but would love to catch some of them jumbos too.

Thanks for the website

All those operators will be on jumbo perch more or less and the odd whitefish. Although if ice is safe some operators will place huts over deeper trout and whitefish grounds. For targeting whitefish and trout specifically your best bet is fishing the deeper parts of the lake ie. Kempenfelt Bay

I would suggest booking perch outings with an operator for comfort and ease of fishing and do at least 2 day trips on your own for lakers and whitefish in Kempenfelt. But you will have to wait for safe ice over the deep water.

As many people have said before you can be with the best operators and still have a very slow day.. All the operators set up their huts on proven grounds from years gone by.
What I look for is a warm hut and safe ride out. I've been to almost all hut operators over the last 25 years and I myself would recommend Tim Hale's fish huts. Very well run operation IMO and a hell of a nice guy...
Good luck on your trip...
Cheers FM / Dave....

Bear point hut Rentals. 1-705-790-1544...

Best on the lake IMO. Donny works his butt off to get his customers fish. It helps he's on one of the best laker grounds on the lake. I'm booked for one of his new sleeper huts in January....can't wait!!

Don't forget Casey's in Port Bolster. Taj does a great job. Rooms, Hot meals and a ride to his huts.
