My sister was telling me about this. they live near the south end of pigeon. it will be good for the fish population.

I cannot remember who said it last winter in the lake simcoe forums, but to quote "Just throw your garbage in with the fish you are bringing home. never heard them complain about it." my gf sometimes complains about how dirty my boat can get with empty water bottles, coffee cups and snack wrappers after a day on the water. and I always tell her "at least this sh** isn't in the water or on the shorelines..." It doesn't take any longer to throw stuff out in a garbage can than it does in the water... maybe slightly more accuracy... a few years ago when I first got my boat and went out on scugog, I was drifting fishing for crappie, and I thought I had a huge one on... it was a beer bottle... then I caught another one... absolutely disgusting... its not hard to just tie a plastic bag to the side of your tacklebox or line a pocket of your tacklebox with a bag and use it... or in your fish bucket, a simple butterfly paper clip holding a bag to the side and use that.

best quote ive ever heard about this kind of stuff "people will be people..." unfortunately its a smaller portion of fisherman that do liter. we can all put on a fish glove and pick up some of that garbage left by others. fisherman get the bad rep because of a few idiots... but if we came together and saw a coffee cup on the shore, why not pick it up and put it in the trash 20 feet away. Ive gone salmon fishing in bronte creek and come out with my tacklebox full of Gatorade bottles, alcohol containers, food wrappers, mcdonalds bags, tims cups. I made 15 bucks in returns at the beer store this year.

The $10,000 spent on communication better include communication in Mandarin, Korean and Japanese or nothing will change. Not a racist comment just the facts, it isn't all of them I know but I would hazard to say that it is the vast majority, witnessed it myself there.

I live in bridgenorth and I'm very happy about the ban.
The amount of garbage ( and Poaching that goes on.) Is terrible. It's a good move all around.

Sad to see, I dont understand why people have to be so ignorant and not pick up after themselves.
