I use an auger hodler made from PVC, its 2 hooks, about 1.5 feet apart. works great for my smitty, I can walk then any time I can grab my auger really quick without having to look through gear to get to my auger

For ATV I have seen custom made steel holders, a pair of steel bars with a fork on each to cradle the auger

I dreamt up an idea earlier in the summer for the auger on the front rack of my atv. Cut a pale in half and fasten to rack. Slide auger portion into pale. Then lay power head down and Fasten with rhino grips or something similar. Still haven’t executed yet but will be in the coming weeks.

drill hole 3/8 and use pin put power head in milk crate ?
should work and keep the power head out of snow and stuff

Mine sits securely on top of the fishing box, held down by a ratchet strap. My Webpage

Digger auger carriers work awesome .

They don't support the motor end at all, any bump you hit goes right to the gearcase. I wouldn't touch it.

It is supported if you mount the bracket that comes with it on it. I never did and have used it without issue for 6 or 7 years and travelled hundreds of miles on lake and sled trails with it. Both with gas and ion augers.
