Smolt Trout Group: Members Posts: 127 Member No.: 8179 Joined: January 11, 2015	Is anybody willing to put up a live cam of Simcoe to watch the ice. Or maybe other popular fishing areas. I'd be willing to pitch in. Anybody else?

blowing snow would make this pretty useless/high maintenance. and really once its capped you cant tell much about the ice quality.

Smolt Trout Group: Members Posts: 113 Member No.: 14620 Joined: October 13, 2017	wouldnt you need a laptop and linternet connection to run a live cam, also if its in a popular area, wouldnt it get stolen. maybe if you are a lakeside resident you could set it up. you also wouldnt be able to see the thickness of the ice. you would just be able to see if ice is present, or not. best bet would be to call hut operators, or fishing businesses but not too often.
