I'm at a hockey tournament with my son in London this weekend. I thought I'd check out Fanshawe today. Not a sole out fishing. The Thames is over flowing and running fast.

Years ago I use to ice fish Sharon Creek conservation area and did well for crappies. There is a bait shop in Delaware which is close by. I'm not sure if it's still good, might be worth checking out if you are into crappie fishing.

We went to sharron creek once in the winter maybe 3 years ago and had nothing. There were other guys out that day and also they saw nothing. So went wemt the following summer and the only thing we saw where tonnes of suckers. Havent been back there. We fished komoka conservation in the summer lots blue gills there. Someone said they see pike there but we've never seen em. Got a nice large mouth one day but out of season. Want to check that out one day during hardwater but not sure if it would be worth the trip or the parking now that you have to pay.

Went out to Fanshawe around 3:30 today. Saw 3 deer walking out. Marked fish in about 28ft of water but had no minnows so I was left with only marks. Picking up minnows tomorrow morning and heading out again to try. Shelf ice for the first little bit but once you are out there, ice around 8” of black and 4” of white where I was fishing.

I hear to stay well clear of the Dam! Quite the current. I’ve only ever fished there twice. Two 23” walleyes! Went out again for almost 8 hours and only got one perch. Lots of marks and followers tho

I fished in between 3 other people probably 300-500 meters away from the damn. But that’s good to know. I will definitely keep my distance moving forward. Hoping tomorrow goes better. An older fella mentioned he hasn’t had luck at Fanshawe during the winter but does well in the summer

Wildwood lake is pretty decent also. Lots of pike in there. Perch also. The perch fishing isn’t as good as it was a couple years ago. Some days I catch close to a dozen pike there
