Any info on ice conditions at fanshaw lake would like to know if its safe before I make the 1hour drive down. Habe never been to the lake and would like to know where and what is the easiest place to access the lake as I'll be flying solo pulling my sled and gear thanks

Not sure about the conditions at fanshawe but the access ... there is only one place to park as they close the gate on evening and weekends. So your options are to trek accross the dam and down the hill for access to the north side or head around the building and down the hill on the south side. Or follow the trail through forest and access down by the rowing club. Either route you choose your hiking back up hil at end of day. I might head to wildwood tomorrow or mitchells bay if my buddy gets back to me.

Caught this today as well as some crappy around London. A few more crappie were caught by another group. Saw another pike but my fishing partner missed the hook set. Not a bad day!

Wow, kind of confused me a bit, bringing back an old post, from back on February 27, 2018, sounds like you found a few more areas in London you can fish, I’m surprised you haven’t ventured down to Lake Erie

Rondeau bay is a good choice - I usually do ok to pretty well there. I got my PB perch there just this past sunday and my PB pike is out of there too last season - both through the ice lol
Pittock has little hammer handle pike I've never got anything else there.
Mitchells bay is good if you want to make the drive but rondeau is closer for you.

nice pike scottburgess
Anyone fished wild wood yet this year? I only went once briefly so far this year. I didn’t stay long. It was super nasty out, my blades on my auger were pooched and I didn’t have my hut or graph. I usually do pretty good there. Can’t wait to actually spend the day there slaying pike

Fanshawe today. No one out. Snow covered so can’t tell if ice looks good. If I had my gear I would go out for a stroll. I might talk the ole lady into going out this weekend

Went to go to Meaford for some fishing this weekend and got turned around in Listowel due to weather. Took 7 back into London and saw someone fishing at 9 pm by the bridge fishing Wildwood lake.
