didn't see a post on it yet, but starting December 1 - December 31, you can renew or get a fishing license for the next calendar year.

Haha, it took me a while to get it at first. then I remember that you get 2 chances at a free license, 1, when you first enter life. and 2 when you become a fishing master!!

honestly, i would still get a license, some CO's are very strict. Joking... even if I didnt need a license, I would still get one, seem like MNR need all the funding they can get LOL too bad the new blue cards look so plain. I remember my dad and mom having the outdoors card with a SMALLMOUTH chasing bait fish. MNR MAKE A COOLER FISHING LICENSE!!!!!!

funny i tried to renew online the outdoors card and a 3 year sports but online would not let me choose the 3 year option, i called it in and it let me on the phone grand total was just over 104$ because they tack on about 5$ in service fees. I should have the new card just before Christmas

by the way, does anyone know where or if I can get an old style fishing license. i hate this blue piece of trash i have in my wallet. so bland and conservative. thanks, YEET

they say it can take 20 days to arrive by mail, I agree about the card looks, the old ones use to have bass and walleye graphics and were really awesome looking, the blue card i got 3 years ago looks like really cheap in comparison

Thank you for the reminder! When you register online, you can print out your receipt or a temp license (can't remember which one) and use that until you get your card.

I renewed online Dec 7 at 0630, and received my licence in the mail afternoon of Dec 12. Sidenote: You can buy a license for life in the state of California. Ages 0-9 $533.25 Ages 10-39 $871.25 Ages 40-61 $785.00 Ages 62+ $533.25 I like the idea.
