Is Guelph Lake open for ice fishing now? I know years back their website stated no ice fishing allowed anymore...

No, it’s technically a fine, but a lot of people still do fish it. The grand river conservation organization or what ever there name is don’t want people fishing due to liability issues. It’s a at your own risk for the main body, for the lower part it is government land and open year round. Parking for lower can be done on John black road I thinks the name, for the upper, they’ve made all the roads no parking so you risk a ticket.

If u plan on fishing u should wear water wings. I was just bye their and it is under water from the snow and the edge is only 3 inches at best of slushy ice. Have to wait.

Was fishing in 5 solid black inches yesterday. Shore was 4. That’s upper, lower was NOT safe guys, I went out about 50 feet and turned around.
