Natural selection ..... The process in nature by which, according to Darwin's theory of evolution, only the organisms best adapted to their environment tend to survive and transmit their genetic characters in increasing numbers to succeeding generations while those less adapted tend to be eliminated.

This time of year you can really knock the stuffing out of the "Honey Do List" and wait for the ice to thicken up a bit. Then again it appears the Darwin contestants are already pretty thick.

Sometimes the rain can actually help by providing enough weight to sink the ice, or at least to make it more dense to decrease the insul value.
