Laker outfitter?

Hi all, looking to bring my dad up to Simcoe for some laker action this winter. Can anyone recommend an outfitter for a day trip?

there are a small handful of outfitters that will take you out with them,show you how to read electronics and presentations....really give you a solid knowledge base.....im not saying that you cant learn from a solid rental hut,some teach more than others.
if you want to rent a hut dont expect to slay the fish....there are good days and bad
i would recommend mike Heyink because he has been in the business for many years...he is a hard worker,professional and wants you to have a good experience!

there is a few hands on outfitters that will take you out and teach you valuable basics(maybe secrets)that will increase your success.

the best advise i have gotten is dont ever think the fish will come to you,put time in and find them

Check out ice hut rental listing on the site . There are several outfitters...

There are a lot depends on where on the lake you will be driving to. If your on the east side there is Mitchell’s and Floyd Hales out of Beaverton. There is a couple out of jackson point area hank is one of them then if your on the west side Bear point is there.

Bear point fish huts are probably best bet. My favourite thing about them is they have rental sonars. Good service in general and good fishing grounds.

I go to Floyd Hales every year (pending on deep water ice).

No complaints. Fishing is generally good.
