need some advice please, ice fishing for lakers

Hello everyone!

I was wondering what should my main line be for jigging for lakers on Simcoe? Would 10 lbs be enough? I don't have much experience with catching or fishing for lake trout Any advice on preparing my ice rod would be appreciated friends! Thank you!

I use 10 lb fireline crystal with a 10 lb fluro leader

In the past I’ve ran 10lb mono. But this year I’m switching to 10-20lb braid with an 8lb florocarbon leader.

I've used 20lb PowerPro with a 10lb fluorocarbon leader for years.
