Got out around 9 to an early ice spot I like to hit, the fishing was on right away with a nice 12” perch there was only 2 other people out when I got there. Consistent jumbos all day non stop action, saw a big pike roaming around as well
Just got off the ice around 2:30 iced well over 100 perch and kept about 15 for a feed

Over all about 2.5-3.5” of ice so make sure you spud your way out to new areas don’t just fall the pack

Merry Christmas

I was out there too. At Rayners in the afternoon. Action was on & off but when they hit it was non stop. One little I dropped back in the hole jumped right back out. I was out about 150 metres from shore 10 foe if water with 4-6” ice of ice. Only took home six jumbos for a Christmas Eve fish appetizer. Still nice to get out and use the gear. Had floatation, spuds and picks but I followed the footsteps of the other 12 or do fisher people (& a dog). Stay safe people.
