Well someone is going to have to call City of Barrie or drop in when their offices open back up, get the exact story and then post it.

You have a good point. Ridiculous Barrie crying residents. Outsiders taking all their fish

well, I assume the City of Barrie said "If you are NOT a Barrie resident, then you can NOT park your vehicle there". The City of Barrie didn't say "If you are NOT a Barrie resident, then you can NOT use Johnson's Beach." :-)

Cars are most common means of transportation if I'm not mistaking and to get to beach you'll need to drive up there. Where do visitors have to park?
Maybe the city is trying to boos the public rransit ridership?
Residents can park in the parking lot and use the beach, it sounds like it's an exclusive club.

The parking there last year was crazy. There were people's driveways boxed in and the trash was everywhere.
Those homes are all over a million dollars. They pay a lot of taxes and expect a lot for their taxes. They complained a lot and they were heard. Restrictions were imposed.

I don't agree with the restrictions, but I see why they were.

Keep being pigs though.. by all means lets see how many spots we can get closed off.

I know a lot of these members are awesome and pick up after yourselves. And I know some of you even pick up after others. It sucks we get the same consequences as as the pigs.

This all sounds crazy we live in Canada a free country. With more fresh water then any other country in the world . We live here we pay taxes here . And we can't go fishing. Our government likes to sell off water front land only allowing the rich to use it . They should stop this BS . If it's about people littering then punish those people . Start impounding their car or hand out 1000.00 dollar fines . Don't give the right to a few to deside to punish everyone for the actions of a few . DEAL with it or move away if you won't

100% agree
If they follow the same rule, they have to ban every one parking lot, it happens everywhere.
