With this parking crap going on now I wonder how next year's Ice Fishing Expo will go. Wasn't that nice that we all drove from miles around, went to the show, stayed in hotels, ate food, bought merchandise and then realize we can't fish in the hard water season because of no parking for non residents. It's a nice kick in the a@# I tell you. I have a law case pending right now because I slipped and fell down 4 exterior steps outside the Molsen Center on my way back to my car. I'm suing them and when I win the case I'll pay for your parking passes.

I'm glad I live on the east side of the lake........could care less about Barrie residents.

I city that constantly circumvents the environmental legislation to keep developing a shoreline that needs protection.

There is a reason why there is so much congestion at the public access points......because there is hardly any shoreline that isn't developed !

Anyway I think I'm just ranting a little because I haven't got out fishing yet and I'm a little b#### lol

Sorry to all the non residents who now have to pay another premium to fish !

well i can tell you i'm not spending a dime in Barrie anymore, i feel bad for the businesses who rely on the tourism dollars. I live in Port Credit and in the summer the parking lots are full of people from all over Ontario, how fair would it be for us to block all non Mississauga residents from parking and using the parks? I guess someday Barrie will grow up and become a real boy

Does any of the provincial taxes go to parks and rec or is this 100% funded by municipalities?

The new sign was a temporary solution for construction. It will be removed today and it goes back to the way it was.
