I don't know if preview day is good for deals, but it's definitely not very busy so you get ample time to look closely at the boats that are there. If you are financing, typically boat show rates are the best rates of the year (you don't need to buy at the show, the rates are available at the time of the year).

i am found of Princecraft especially when you could get them with Honda motors like my current boat, Lund as well. I will only buy a boat that offers either Honda or Yamaha motors, too many issues with Mercs over the years and reliability on the water is number 1 for me.
Avoid Legend boats stay away ... trust me reason they are so cheap especially used, basically the Chrysler of the boat world

I went through this boat buying process a few years ago and bought a Princecraft fish and ski (20 foot model) with a 200 HP Mercury. Nice boat and pleased overall with the purchase (though bass seem to be allergic to my boat for some reason...) but I often wonder if it was worth the premium pricing as opposed to a Legend, which I think generally produces good quality boats for a helluva lot less money!
