The consensus seems to be that within the next 7 - 10 days the majority of us will be heading out onto the hard water in hopes for a safe, fun filled, story making season.

Im thankful the members on this board are so helpful & informative on reporting their findings, ice conditions, advice and speculations.

Its a sign of great sportsmanship & respect the fishery & our fellow board members.
Im happy to be part of this !

Now is as good of a time as any, to remind everyone that when it comes to safety, no question is a stupid one & anytime is a good time to ask whats on your mind.

Lets also continuously remind everyone that LITTERING our shorelines is a growing problem & not a good idea. Keep some garbage bags with you at all times & more importantly,,, Take your garbage home with you when possible.

Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas & a great start to the 2018 season.

Play safe & keep the lines tight !!

I look forward to all the reports yet to come !!

(now if we could only find a place to park & access the lake without having to pay through the wazzooo).

You guys crack me up. Typical wishful thinking on Simcoe.
Only to be fighting for parking, having to walk through empty beer cans and other garbage dumped on the ice, or gathering crowds around you if you are smart enough to catch fish. This photo was taken November 22nd this year!! We’ve had ice safe enough for ice fishing for more than a month.

Keep the crowds down south boys!
