Folks....sign was placed only during construction of new drain system. IT WILL BE TAKEN DOWN THIS WEEK. Everyone please relax...but may this be a reminder to everyone, if we don't take time to respect the City of Barrie when using the public lands, this may become a way of the future. Lets all pitch in and clean up after ourselves and respect the lake.

To confirm this is the response I got.

That's why I kept quiet about it. I seen the picture of the sign and the old sign saying you can pay to park. I knew something was wrong. So I waited until Christmas break was over and sent them an email asking for confirmation. Got my response the first day then shared it.

Great news. I assume this means non-resident can still pay and park in that parking lot.

But, did we say the City of Barrie has also recently put up new "No Parking" signs along those nearby residential streets? These NEW "No Parking" signs are also temporary (to be removed soon) or permanent?
