just not wise

I was driving down lake shore today in barrie there was some one out fishing just off the boat launch. i thought i was dreaming for a min. PLEASE USE MORE COMMON SENSE THEN THIS GUY,that was open water yesterday,dont know what he was thinking or maybe was god just walking on water.

It was pretty cold last night.. Somebody has to be first... Not me... Lol

I'm guessing we will see some pics of whites and lakers out of kemp tomorrow. That or a rescue one or the other.

The season is still closed so if there are any catches I hope the fisherman is also in those pictures. Would make an easy case for penalizing

I agree that was open water tuesday. Yesterday I fished the inner part of the marina it was frozen for over a week. I chose a spot in between were the storm sewers come in. Spudded out and and drilled about 5 holes all measuring between 8-5" I caught a bunch of little perch. I saw people fooling around by the boat launch in that portion two. I am sure people will be risking the big bay by this weekend. Not me. Maybe by next weekend and that's early for K-bay, she takes awhile.

Ill be testing kbay off Johnson Beach on new years morning and seeing if there is 3" for me to drop a line for a whitey or two.
If there isnt 3" or more I'll turn around and wait until the 3rd.

With this cold temps the lake could be making over an inch a day. What was open Monday could be 3 solid or more today.

all weekend gonna be close to -28 . i think some areas will be ready

Walked out of Johnson's beach today about 200 meters. Ice was between 3-4" of black ice.

Maybe practicing for the 2018 Darwin award??

I know that Steve Rowbo was out doing a test yesterday by the boat launch. Might have been him you seen resting
