Out from sun up for most of the day.
Great to see some people did well yesterday.
Been ice fishing for a long time and for sure since the emergence of the pop up hut, to me is when I started seeing
a significant rise in popularity and participation even with people just sitting on a bucket with no shelter ....
I think it's safe to say we're all now rookies in seeing that many people out on really early ice.
By the time noon came it looked like a mild day, mid season, 20 inch of ice weekend day.
I personally didn't do well enough for the fryin pan....dinkfest.
Glad to scratch the itch and it was the nicest weather you could ask for considering the thermostat was way down.
I was never father than 600 meters out and usually measured the ice at 5.5 inches.....with a measuring tape.
