Well for me it’s all pretty much all over except the eating, morning was fun as always when you have an eight year old full of the excitement of Christmas, among his gifts was his first “rifle”, the trusty old red ryder B.B. gun .
Truthfully for me it’s about spending time with family, and having some time off work to relax for a while ( and of course the food ), but I did get this beauty under the tree!
Too bad I’m gonna have to wait a while to use it, but it’s gonna be pretty sweet on my new pitchin stick come June

Anyone else get any nice goodies?

The Boss got me a hand held emergency radio for use out on Lake Erie when we are out for walleye. To get to depth, you got to go out a long way and the cell towers don't reach that far. I have noticed that fellow fishermen out there keep a pretty good eye on each other in case there is a problem. We stopped to jig for walleye at one point and two boats came over to see if we were ok.
Oh....and in case anyone tells you that jigging does not work in Lake Erie out deep.....NOT TRUE!!! The walleye hit like a ton of bricks and even worse are the sheephead.
For her birthday, I got her one of those automatically inflating life jackets.
I'm SOOOOOOO romantic.

Yes, I’m sure a lot of people got matching rockets
I liked the look and feel of mine so much I ordered another one yesterday, don’t want the first one to feel left out as the only hyper fast reel in the rod locker next summer

I got a Beretta A300 12 Gauge.

It was awesome but not as Awesome as the looks on my kids faces for a wicked Christmas. Also my son beat me to the powered ride game.

I hope it’s my turn to get one one day. Lol

I'm jealous... it seems like everyone got something for ice fishing and I didn't. Well, in retrospect I guess I did get something too for ice fishing. A beautiful maroon colored sweater. Not quite as exciting as a new reel but very practical. All kidding aside, I had a wonderful Christmas with my daughters, family and the in-laws. Wishing everyone a fabulous new year.

Been looking for a new pair of boots and was at sail yesterday .. Didn't buy the ones I went for as a member of sales staff pointed out a different pair that was on clearance being that they where the end of stock from last year.. They only had limited sizes left.. Low and behold they had two size twelves left and I jumped on it... I wear a size 11 but like my boots a little bigger but not too sloppy on my feet... The 12 was perfect... Regular price $199.99. Clearance price $99.00...
The rating for these boots is -110....
I looked at these over a year ago but would not pay that price then...
Thanks Santa better late then never...

I got the same pair from Sail and it's been the best money spent in a long time. I fished without a hut in -17 for 9 hours and my feet were toasty for the whole time .Awesome boots.
