I was able to get out a couple of times for Jumbo perch and did real well, unfortunately, I was not able to get out today for the laker/whitefish opener. I would love to see some of the pics from our sucsessful anglers who were able to get on the grounds.

caught 2 whiteys today at the mouth of the bay. didn't take pictures to cold for my phone to work in those temps out in the open today. Ice was cracking, pounding and moving all morning. Good start to the day. Lots of guys out walking and spudding as they went, lots of cracks now in these areas.

ice was anywhere between 4 and 6 inches of clear ice. This next cold snap will tighten all the shifted ice from today hopefully by end of the week again.
