Hey Guys!
Just wanted to let everyone know yesterday my Dad and I went out to Cook's Bay (Gilford). We had a great time. Not only were we catching Perch (Dinks but that doesnt matter) but we got to spend some quality time together! We had a blast. He hadnt been out on the ice in almost 20 years. We almost froze to death but hey....it was worth it!

Now to me that is what fishing is about father and son......catching fish is a bonus....miss my dad very much when I fish especially....we both enjoyed the sport immensely and sharing time while fishing. He taught me the roots of my fishing experience and many a story was born or told from our adventures. I am 68 now and lost my dad a few years ago but even when he lost the use of his legs and had really poor eyesight.....I picked him up for a last fishing adventure. I beached my aluminum boat and got him to the edge of it and rolled him in. We had a great time that day and caught some fish to and the next day he stayed behind as he was tired of the previous day. Instead a buddy was with me and we went fishing. When we got back to the trailer there was my dad watching TV cheering the Dutch team on in a soccer game donning his Dutch logoed T-shirt in support......That was quite a weekend and a very fond memory that I treasure. So enjoy all the fishing time you can get with your dad that you can.
