Hey guys,

I am just wondering if anyone could tell me if walking out of Beaverton is easy or difficult as in a lot of snow drifts or pressure cracks that will make it hard time because I'm planning on going out for the first time this year on Saturday or Sunday and just wondering if I should rent a hut or try to complete the walk with my hut. Any feedback is appreciated and tight lines boys.

Guys do walk out, but it is fairly far, and with the snow and drifts would make ya tired by the time you got out towards all the huts. I would rent a hut or try walking at port bolster where its closer to fish.

I'm in my 20's and I walk out with a sled but let me tell you... it does suck! I only take that walk if I really want to test the fishing out there.

It's just the distance and it seems you're always just trecking through high snow.

I would definetly rent a hut from one of the ice hut rentals listed above.

Accuweather for Saturday and Sunday.........minus 22 with a real feel of minus 26 and Sunday minus 16 in the morn. S.W Winds with gusts up to 30 kms.
