Ice fishing belle ewart area, Information request

Hi all
Getting up to cooks bay first time this year on Friday January 5th staying near the lake in belle ewart and I would like to fish there also. Could use some help
1 is the ice good to go up that way
2 are there any fishing reports from that area
3 what the weather up there supposed to be like Friday and Saturday
I'm bring my nephew for a walk out we have a hut and heater but his safety is first on my mind
