Does anyone know the ice conditions on Cooks Bay, east side and towards the deep water. Is it safe enough for atvs? Just wondering cause this week end will be my first time out thus season.

I took my ATV from the river in keswick out to the main lake past willow beach on Sunday and had no issues, lots of pressure cracks and pack ice in the main lake but all good in the bay

I was out on Cookes on Monday, operators were pulling their huts out on the west side of the bay out of Gilford. 500 ft from shore, about 6-7 inches of ice (snow covered). 1 km from shore, almost a foot (minimal snow cover out there makes for thick ice)! Many people were out with ATVs and sleds.
