When you tip up perch eyes are those from fish you’ve cleaned on the ice?

Any shiny spoon, Williams, slab grabber, they'll work fine. Working them properly according to the mood of the fish is the key for me.

No don’t tip them it just hides the bead which is the target for the fish. It can also mess with the action of the lure and be sure to put it on a swivel.

Thanks Donkey88

Definitely think the slabgrabber is the lure of choice.

For me, the best lure which I had success with on my last outing is this one. Confidence is half part of success, maybe more.
Here is my Dirty Dozen:

Just an FYI, I did find the slabgrabbers locally. I was at Gagnons yesterday and failed to see them. Had to make a trip there today a low and behold there they were. Got a couple to put in the arsenal.
Thanks again for all the feedback 👍
Cheers

I have found that my go to lures are the following:

1. ThunderMist Stingnose Jigging spoon tipped with Meal Worms
2. Gold and Silver Slab Grabber with the red/pink or chartreuse bead.

Also was pretty successful with Jig/live minnow as well over the past few weeks.

My best and favorite is 1 1/2 inches and make sure it’s got the flat top that connects to the swivel. It does make a difference in the shape on the top
