Fishing on Sketchy Ice

Lunker Trout Group: Members Posts: 495 Member No.: 10989 Joined: January 29, 2016	Went down to hit up some local ice on Monday after my buddies all bailed on our Simcoe trip. Noticed the thaw had opened up some water that wasn't there a few days earlier. Spudded our way onto the ice, and drilled into 10" of nice black ice. Started out with a couple perch, but after a short time, we noticed the ice was actually lifting up and down about an inch or two from the current coming in from the open water... Decided we didn't need to be on the ice any longer after that and headed to a different location.
