A Laker and Ling kinda Day!, Another awsome day on the ice!

Hello again my ice fishing friends.I hope everyone is healthy and happy and catching lots of fish!
My colleague ( Fishing Fan) Dave and i had to pretty well flip a coin as to what lake we would tackle today and decided to give our little favorite Laker backlake another shot.
On this cold windy day we met up on the ice for first light and i was pretty glad to see that my partner had already set up our shelter. Heck my good buddy even had my holes drilled!! Wow! Going to miss this good soul as he heads back to work tomorrow after a two week sabbatical!Well heres how our fishing day went.I was blessed with the numbers again today as i believe i landed 8 lakers and a bonus Ling, a bonus that is to some! However Dave grabbed the catch of the day once again by slamming a decent size laker in the 6pound range! A real hog for the area that we were fishing!He was quickly photographed and released as we already had a pair each for the table.Dave also connected with our second ling of the day.His ling hit a spoon while mine was caught on my magic tube with SLIPFLOAT presentation.Here are our pics of the day!Until next time have a Crappie day!

What a day my friend. Started slow for me. But as usual u kept me entertained. That fish was awesome for up there. Glad he went back to get even bigger. The little ones taste better anyways. The Ling were tasty too! Well, back to reality after 2 weeks of time off. But we got out a lot. I had my 2 best days of crappie thru the ice and caught my biggest northern laker as well as the first time we’ve managed 2 Ling in one day. And this is just the start of the season. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

Great report and results as usual. Very jealous , sitting here sick and yet to get out.

Maybe we will meet up soon in this ice season. Tight lines Mr Slip Float , well done , nice ling and a big trout for Dave.
