i noticed on Sunday my flip over developed a tear near the base on the fabric, the winds were pretty crazy Sunday so i'm not surprised, not being very handy with a needle what do you guys do to repair or path fabric? for now i just duct taped both sides but i can see the duct tape not holding out very long, welcome your suggestions

I use duct tape and or Gorilla tape. Then I spray flex seal over it. Work's great. Flexible and waterproof like the add says. Now if I could get it to work for my wife's mouth. Lol!!

My 2 cents -learn to sew. I fish a lot an repair my pop-up as needed for several years. It doesn't have to be seamstress quality (basically, you just have to be able to run a big needle with thread through some fabric) but it is a lot better than adhesives - trust me. I have been babying a popup for years and the sew jobs are tight.
Second, if I get tear that isn't good for sewing and needs adhesive, I have an old BBQ cover that is the same type of fabric (roughly) as the pop-up. Either sew it on or use shoe goo.
Last go into Fabric Land and look what they have (the ladies love it when you show up in full camo - believe me). They carry all kinds of nylon strapping, tent-quality thread, and dernier cloth that can be used for repairs.
