Heading to Simcoe on Sunday with a few guys. I was out fished in the summer which seems to get brought up a lot. We'll be fishing for perch and I have a couple of questions. If you had 1 lure, what would it be. Do you use a fluorocarbon leader. On your 2nd line ( if you use one) what's it armed with. Appreciate your advice and hope to redeem myself. Cheers, Kerry...

16th or 1/8th oz jig head and small trigger x blood or butter worm. Chartreuse or white. On a spring bobber.. 2•4 lb floro leader. 2nd line is under a slip float, minno or tube.

This really depends on how deep you are fishing. Shallow and deep are different choices for me. I prefer fishing 24-30 feet deep and for that I would say jigging rap, followed by a perch colored buckshot spoon. These are both big fish presentations. If perch are not aggressive a smaller meegs type jig with a small pin head shiner threaded on works great. Fish that presentation on a rod with a very soft tip with lots of backbone (deadstick rod).

I swear on the Slab GRabber with Carteuse Bead. Gets them all day long.. Granted I pretty much have all the Slab grabbers and frequently use the Pearl and Ruby bead also
