Thanks for sharing your report. That's how it goes sometimes. I am a new member on here and am fairly new to the LT/WF. I am planning on heading up that way on Friday this week. How do you think the ice will be affected by this warm spell? Was thinking either BP or oro beach area.

Was with Bear Point outfitters today too.... And got skunked too...
Marked tons, it seemed like they looked at our minnows and shot them the middle fin.
The guys running this outfit are fantastic, very good customer service ( except no fish... Lol).

Me and a buddy had the same luck on Sunday. Could mark on finder, would follow bait up but not take a bite. How's the ice holding up?

I guess that's just how it goes sometime. At least you were in good company and got to share a few laughs. We didn't do much better, same scenario as you guys, ended the day with one whitie.
Tight lines and better luck next time.

They cannot stay lock jaw forever. Sooner or later the bite will turn on!

Today with the weather change had the fish wanting nothing to do with anything. My buddy who has 30 years on me fishing simcoe and is a fantastic fisherman who usually does extremely well was out today and makred a ton of fish but was able to only get 1 topside today in 8 hours of fishing. He threw everything at them.

Going by last season's posts , if fishin2 and xiaolu are not catching then something funny has to be going on with the whitfish

Funny according to the Best Times for Fishing Calendar https://www.fishingreminder.com/CA/charts/f...ng_times/Barrie Jan 10 was a 'good' day.

According to our calculations, today Jan 10, 2018 has a 3 out of 4 rating ( (*) (*) (*) ( ) ) and is a good day for fishing.
The current moonphase is a Third Quarter Moon and 37 percent of the moon is visible.
The sun will rise at 07:54 and sets at 16:59 while the moon rises at 01:54 and sets at 12:58.

Best fishing times are indicated by the four solunar periods of high feeding activity.

The two major solunar periods last for two hours or more and normally produce best results. Check out those days when they happen during sunrise or sunset for an extra boost.
The first major solunar feeding period starts at 06:26. The second major solunar feeding period starts at 18:56.

Minor periods last for about one or two hours. Feeding is said to be less vigorous. But if other factors like weather, tides, sunrise, etc are favorable those times could be just as good as the major times.
The first minor solunar feeding period starts at 00:54. The second minor solunar feeding period starts at 11:58.[B]

An old wise man once mention to me that the beginning of a full moon and winds from the west is best for fishing.
