Fish Simcoe a lot but seeing as how I live in Cobourg was thinking of trying out Rice Lake. Anyone on here fish around Harwood at all? Looks good on Navionics but I never see anyone out there when I go to get water.

I have not tried it myself but on Friday I went for a ride out there and there was a permanent hut not that far from shore. I agree it looks great on Navionics. I am going to try it out next weekend I think, probably go out late afternoon.

Don't believe everything Navionics shows.

There aren't anywhere near the features it shows on Rice, particularly in that stretch of water...

Tight lines.

Agreed. All depths under 11 feet, for sure are suspect. With navionics you can walk from West Sugar Island to Sheep and then to Black Island and never get deeper than 3 feet With sonar chart, you might get your neck wet. Dont try it.
I talked to a Nav. rep. a couple of years ago. He said I should just map the lake myself. We need more boaters complaining before they will fix it.
My wife just bought me a HDS GEN3 on boxing week, so I guess I will be able to do it now.
The paper maps are the way to go if fishing.

I used Navionics last summer and according to it my depth was 12 ft, my finder said a consistent 6 ft and none of the breaks that should have been there. I think it's a good resource for general info but I'm doubting the pin point accuracy as well.
