I have never ice fished BOQ. My son would like to go family day weekend. Iam definitely looking for a hut and or guide. Saw Fishfinder Charters on line and wondering if anyone has experience with them or can suggest someone else. Appreciate any input the board may have.

RE sunset cabins......They offer a package $110 each.. Cabin/cottage for the night before, fishing the next morning till afternoon in heated hut... Ride out and in... Great if your like me coming from Burlington so I don't have to be on the road at 3:30am...

I've myself have not fished with them yet... Friends have and they've gone back many times...I was booked with them on Thursday but had to bail due to forgetting about a prior arrangement... They had openings this week but you would have to call them for availability in February..

Might be tuff finding an opening on family weekend... Try sunset cabins and don't wait, make the call today.. Good luck...
Thanks for the tip. I tried to call sunset no answer, they must be busy. Left a message but did not get a call back so went ahead and booked with Fish finder charters out of Carrying Place, didn't want to miss out. Looks like we are fishing Saturday and Sunday in the bay across from Trenton, 14 to 15 feet of water. Hope it's good, never know it's fishing. I have experience ice fishing for perch in Lake St Clair and Simcoe, Wondering if anyone has walleye experience in that area and is willing to share a few tips on tackle and technique, would certainly appreciate any advise. I do have a fishfinder and decent rods and reels. Thanks, Mike
