Hi to all! This coming weekend I'm planning a 2 days trip to quintie first time ! my 12 year old and the wife also with me ! Between Trenton and Belleville .. already find my minnow supply there and I'm all geared up! just checking Navionics and I see depth only 10 or 14 feet the most , that area ,,,what would be the ideal depth to get some walleye ? also maybe an easy walking access point, so the family not going to be dead before the fishing ! as I said very first time going there , so any help would be really appreciated not to be so blind ! planning to fish from 6am till 6pm on Saturday and half a day on Sunday ! just like we tell first timers on simcoe if you don't know and your not going with someone that does know, for safety reasons, see an outfitter in the area there on the ice everyday and know were you shouldn't be! there are alot of currents in the bay and things change buy the hour BE SAFE and enjoy the family outing

thx! last few day i was just reading about areas where the current not massing up the ice too much , i found access at Herchimer ave where atv and snow mobiles riding on and i heard u can do fishing right there in the area, just seems 14feet is too shallow ,,,,,, outfitters are booked !

Short of going further down the bay, most of the top end is shallow but don't let that scare you off. There are a couple of spots you can try- potters area which is east of belleville is a good access point. County Shores across the bridge on 49 is great- short walk out, there is a store with lures, minnows, parking ($5) and most importantly a bathroom if you are bringing the family. The water there at county shores does have a little more current and it starts to get deeper too. The further down the bay you go working down the reach towards Picton, the deeper it becomes.
I'm contemplating heading down that way tomorrow and fish it often.

thx for all the info already feeling confident!!! i found an outfitter for saturday ,and we are on our own sunday!!! can't wait to be there , will be a nice change after Simcoe ,which is still our favorite lake either summer or winter!!!
