Is there a public launch in the Town of Rosseau for snowmobile access? I’ve only been there in the summer months and was wondering if anyone uses the public dock area to access the lake by sled?

I didn't see rosseau, but where I was Sunday looked dangerous. It was totally fine, and I know there's 10", as my permanent hut is out there....but the lake looked that dark colour like that last week or so of ice in mid-April, just as it's going out. If it was my first day out there, I woulda been nervous.

been out a couple of times now, ice was great last trip. no snow, water or slush and that was after the last melt and rain but its not getting as cold tonight as it did last time. So i doubt all that rain will be frozen by the time i get there like it was two weeks ago.

I was out today on Rosseau (Windermere)and it has tightened back up ...very little snow just small patches of about a quarter of an inch here and there....ice is textured from the wind and water on freezing.....Yesterday we had wind driven rivers all over the ice....but all is good now!!!

Just wondering if anyone has any idea how much ice there is in the Windermere area?
Trying to decide if I should load the ATV or if we can get away with leaving it at home and just take the truck out?
Suggest you leave the truck on shore and bring the ATV... A sled went through the ice in Windermere area yesterday and I have heard lots of warnings from my dock builder friends of significant pressure cracks all over the lake.
