Lake Joseph and Little Lake Joseph -
Humphrey and Medora Twps.
Fish sanctuary – no fishing from
Jan. 1 - Fri. before Family Day (Ontario) Lake Trout in Lake Joseph from what I understand opens on Family day weekend. Can someone clarify this? Thanks.

The entire lake is closed to fishing, not just trout. Opens Saturday of family day weekend. Very busy opener. Haven’t gone in 2 yrs as I’ve found other less pressured areas. Access and parking is getting harder as people abuse the locals property and driveways.

Last year we went to Jo for the opener. We found an access point that was not too bad. Maybe 6 to 8 people in the bay the whole day.

Thank you for clarifying . I did know about the lake being closed to all fishing but I had lakers in mind.
