Anyone been out fishing at island lake this year. It's been years since I fished there. Many nice Pike back in the day.

Lots of Snot rockets. With the very odd fish above the 28". Lots of fun for kids, catching is almost a guarantee. The derby is on this week so it is quite busy.

I was out once this year, I didn't have any luck.

However in past years I have almost always caught some number of Pike.

been twice this year. In Jan caught 2 pike. Today - a LMB. Did not target pike today, but crappie. Went away from the crowd and tried shallow. While checking the depth and weeds in a new hole with a lipless rap felt some weight on the line which happened to be an average bass. After that a couple of nibbles in 3 hours.
