A while back someone had posted a chart that showed which year the fish were stocked based on the fins that were clipped. Finally got my first simcoe laker this weekend and was curious about the year it was stocked, it was a nice size just under 10lbs. It had its right pectoral clipped. Anyone have this chart handy?

In the 10lb range would be 2008 stock, i would think it might have weighed a bit more than that too by the year but had to say. A lot of the 2005 and 2006 fish that have been caught this year are in the 14-16 pound range

Thanks for the chart ! I am uneducated on the growth rates of trout other than what I've read about them being slow growers. I figured 2008 as well, it measured 30" and was a nice healthy fish with good colour (ill get a pic up soon). Definitely a cool stat to mark down in my log.
