After yesterday’s failed attempt at fishing due to my sled overheating, I took the atv out today. Left north Gwillimbury park around 7:45, lake travel was good with about 4-6” of crusty packed snow, had to cross the main pressure crack that comes off snake island but no issues there! About 18-20 inches of ice just east of snake island

As for the fishing we set up in the same holes as my trip last weekend and within the first 5 minutes had a whitie top side, fishing throughout the day was slow with almost an hour in between some marks, we decided to tough it out and not move and ended up icing 5 whitefish for the day and losing another 2 at the hole.

Got my dad into his first whitie if the season but still searching for the elusive trout

Now to get ready for a perch tournament tomorrow! Good luck this weekend everyone

Great report and results !! Saw east side ice report was thinking Beaverton, so I guess I will ask elsewhere.

Ya I always say east side because it’s east side of cooks bay but I guess it’s not really the “east side” lol
