Hello fellow members, I will be in Belleville on the 13th & 14th to do some presentations on dog aggression. I have all morning on the 14th until 1ish to go fishing. I have never fished in this area but would like to. I was looking at the Potter Creek area but open to suggestions. I'm not a fan of going out alone in an area I don't know, so I'm just asking if anyone is walking out in the early morning that I could join up with? I'm just a little cautious on unknown turf covered in snow. Thanks Robert

This snow and rain is really hurting the ice go with someone who knows the area was there today and by the end of the day there was 8 inches of wet snow in spots and very slushy by shore ,ice was anywhere from 8-12 inches but very soft big bay

Potters is a good place to start if you don't know the area.... lots of sketchy ice east of that in the narrows... There is a guy there right now recovering an ATV from yesterday, lots of current, holes not freezing, actually expanding, and lots of guys getting wet up to the chest.... There is an operator out from potters and he has plowed a road out. GL man.

Be safe and know where you going. Don't want to get wet this time of year. But I would suggest going out by the hut rental. Just my opinion. Tight lines.

I made it out on the morning of the 14th for a few hours. Went out from Potters followed the ice trail out to about the middle. No one else was around. I was in 14' of water, Ice was solid and maybe 14", water was like a small fountain coming out of the hole. Fishing was fun they looked at everything I sent to them very polite fish but they never opened there mouths, two times I got a slight tap. Thanks for the replies it was a great adventure.
