Valens ice fishing derby results

Well, it was a bit of a late start today. The derby opened at 6am, my daughter and I arrived an were setup by 9.
Was a tough day fishing, for into a few pike but the panfish were super hard to find.
This was my first time taking Kaylee to an ice fishing derby, and she was beyond excited.
Took awhile, but she finally got her first hardwater pike all by herself.
Then her 2nd place perch, which stayed on the leaderboard all afternoon.
Couldn’t be a more proud father, and it’s safe to say she’s hooked for life.
Along with 2nd place, she also won a draw prize... talk about luck

thanks guys, was such a great day.
And ya someone caught a crappie just under 2 pounds at 6:50 I believe, their are some tanks in there.
I pre fished it the Wednesday before and couldn’t keep the perch, pike off that day. Derby day was a tough bite but still worked out ok.
