I am going to guess that it's not that safe with all the rain we got. I am in toronto and there no more snow just water. Be safe no fish is worth your life.

I was out there a few days ago, but after yesterdays temp of plus 19 and the wind and rain I would be for checking it out very carefully if planning to go out.

And we are not done yet with mild temps and rain.

I wouldn't think the ice is safe....the rain and warm temps have changed everything. Be careful and tight lines!!!

I would say the same thing if your not sure and it doesn't look good stay away and wait for another cold snap. If not soft water season is not to long alway. Better to be safe not wet.

I was in the Bay (I think Holloway bay) , just before you reach Point Albino a few days ago. On shore though, the ice looked real rotten, the shore was shot in the area I was. Wouldn't even think about going out there after the mild temps. Didn't see anyone around the ice , wasn't expecting to lol..
