Most areas around us are not safe for ice fishing and I much prefer shore or boat fishing. It's a little too early to launch the boat but our favourite shore spot was free of ice as of Friday. We found some time to fish on Sunday and managed about 30 perch. We kept the 4 largest ones for dinner that night. They were between 10 - 11". I did throw another back that was in that range but she was really full of eggs so let her swim away.

Hi Nicole.....haven't seen you in ages, but we live in a different area, so understandable.

Good to see you cacthin dinners again and have a great open water season

I still have one ice fishing trip left to do and then will focus on getting boats ready!

I know it's been a long time! I can't believe we've been living here for almost 2.5 years already, time is just flying by! We are on opposite ends of Lake O so quite the distance between us but we're going to try and get to the next Meet and Greet.

Lets hope we don't have to deal with all of the flooding like last year but the water levels are still high for this time of year!
