This may be a pretty randaom question, is grenaider pond open...looking to get some softwater action for bluegills, crappies or even carp...

I don’t know what it is like any more but there used to be lots of crappy in there. I caught them 25 plus years ago on the fly there.

I would guess its not open yet.I caught all the remaining Crappies left in there 35 years ago and a few largemouth,perch and pike! Lol And maybe a bike or two lol

Haha ya lol, fished there once last year and pulled out 1 crappie, don’t know if it was a fluke or not. I’m just curious to try it in the early spring for them at the pond...

I also fished there a few times 20+ years ago and on one occasion located a school of crappie in the spring. Caught one after another on a micro jig below a bobber. Great fun. Other than that, a decent largemouth once and a variety of panfish - perch, white perch, rock bass, sun fish. I hear there are pike too. I believe they were stocked from Orangeville resevoir. Try any of the small flood ponds in any subdivsion in the GTA Markham Vaughan King and Newmarket

They all have panfish their eggs are carried from pond to pond by ducks on their webbed feet
