What a beautiful long weekend. It was still a bit chilly out, but sun was shining and decided to try shorefishing for panfish. Dusted off the ultralight rod, put on a small bobber and brought along an assortment of micro jigs and tubes and headed out in search of spring panfish. Unfortunately this year Easter was a bit early and temps have been cold but I found open water at some of my spring hotspots. First stop, looked good, but after 30 minutes and no bites, it seemed the pannies were not there yet. Off I went to location number two. Again this was a bust, no fish at all... Ok, drive off to location three... First cast, bobber goes down, fish on, a nice perch.. Ok so they are here..

It was nuts.. Non-stop action all morning, landed close to 100 perch, they were in thick.. Every cast the bobber went down.. Got tired of catching them, lots of small ones, but a few nice jumbos were in the mix which made for a fun time.. Love seeing that bobber wobble and then go down., tried all colours and they all produced, but a white tube did most of the damage. No crappie or bluegills yet, all perch for now.. The crappie and gills usually show up later..

Took a few home for a fish fry.. All in all a great time and fun start to the softwater season.. Love early season panfishing..

Until next time, happy fishing and tightlines..

Nice work .
Looks like it’s gonna be a messy week weather wise so that itch might not get scratched again for a bit.

This weather is getting old. Real old! Mother Nature must be going through mentalpause.

C'mon Mother Nature can we have some hot flashes now?

Glad you were able to track them down.

LOL my first time drinking it...

Saw it in the grocey store and couldn't resist trying it

Ontario brewery in Burlington

It was alright, would buy again, it is very citrusy and lots of head
