pocket knife, what do you guys use?

Just throwing this out for conversation. What do you guys use for an everyday carry, general purpose knife?
For about the last two years I've been using the Milwaukee fastback knife. Still on my first one as well. Great knife for under $20 when I got it. Has a coated blade and keeps an edge fairly well, not great but sharpens up quick. Durable blade and body, push button lock to open, blade swings out with a satisfying flick of the wrist, bar lock when the blade is out. Blade length at 3" and when folded down the whole unit is pretty slim.

I have it on me when ever I'm out and about and its a great tool, although I'm a bit of a sucker for Milwaukee tools

I have the same Milwaukee knife and mostly love it. I pretty much boast all the same qualities you have in your original post but if I had to give it one con VS all the pros it would be that the belt clip does not have/hold enough tension. I am constantly taking it off and bending the spring tighter and it still gets left just about anywhere I sit down which is a no no with a 2 year old nipping at my heels. Now the saving grace with that is the locking shut but I know it would be just a matter of time until the button is pushed so it has gone away for now in favour of either one of the two pack from husky for $15. Most recently I have been carrying the tactical model and have actually used the serations on the blade which I have previously claimed unnecessary. At least for the time being I will take something he is not able to pull out of my pocket without me knowing VS something he hasn't figured out how to open because I don't want the situation where he has it and I don't know and he does figure out how to open it.

I have not had those issues with my knife on the metal clip. Both this one and the box cuter/utility knife one I use at work stay in my pocket even when the jeans are off and just lying on the floor beside the hamper.

I’ve been carrying a Buck knife that came with my OFAH membership.It has a 3.5 inch locking blade and is thin with rounded corners so it sits comfortably in your pocket. I use it as a general pocket knife and for field dressing deer and other game.

My everyday knife is a Buck knife. Had it for a couple years now, its been a good knife and dont have to sharpen it too ofter. I usually loose my knife before it would ever fail. So im knocking on wood right now.

I've never had a pocket knife. I'm thinking of getting one now, so if I ever run into Mother Nature,,,,,,or Wynnie the pooh.

I love Milwaukee tools too, for now i have a small Gerber folding knife, i like it because i can open it with one hand easily, i use to carry a straight knife with sheath but lost one somewhere on the port credit rocks when the knife slipped out.

I was thinking the same thing. Not sure what I would use it for. Manicure?

My favorite is the Opinel knives. Light, super sturdy, awesome locking mechanism, and straight up carbon steel so they maintain a sharp blade for a long time and sharpen way easier when needed.

spyderco manix 2 thing is a beast just ensure you pay the extra upfront get the s30v steel instead of the soft bd1 steel holds an edge better way longer.

I literally change up what i carry every day, but majority of my carries are Buck and Gerber, I find both to be at a decent price point for decent quality. I have a slight fascination with sharp things. Picture is of about 60% of my collection.

I carry the Buck knife that my grandmother gave me about 45 years ago when I graduated high school. My wife ALWAYS gave me hell for wearing one in a small belt sheath until the night we came upon a 5 car accident in a snow storm just outside of Kitchener. The seatbelts were jammed tight on three teenage boys in the back seat and I could see that all three had sustained broken legs. Out came the Buck and I sliced the belts like they were nothing. We got all of the victims out of the cars because we could smell leaking fuel and had them on blankets with our coats over them to keep them warm until the ambulances arrived. After that night.....the wife NEVER bothered me about wearing a folding belt knife again.

I almost always have my leatherman fuse knife on my belt. I don't usually.lose them but have a tendancy break them doing things I shouldn't. I think I have about 5 pair on my work bench that have broken parts a screwdriver or tip of the pliers or can opener I think I have enough parts to make 2 fully functional pairs if I ever get to it.
