Had a successful morning today. But it seemed to be a very strange bite.
Took a little while to get the right jig size and colour.
Until I figured it out i was just feeding the perch it seemed.
I like using minnows but it can be a pain at times rebaiting.
I find most of the time it makes absolutely no difference what the minnow delivery system is.
The Big perch usuly fully commit and engulf everything.
I want to start using plastics and some different types of luirs (without live bait)but I have had greater success with live baits.
what are some of your preferences for perch fishing.
Live or artificial

Nicely done... Enjoy the eats

Sometimes the only thing working for Simcoe perch is minnows. They can be finicky.. But I prefer artificials as well, less messy and less of a pain.

Best baits for me are small tube jigs, white or chartreuse
