December of last year I decided I’d give a charter a shot it was mine and my buddya 1st time. Decided to go with neutrek charters to the niagara river for lakers and bows and was insane...fish after fish is all I can say. So while on boat longshank and I were talking and he said he also does spring salmon, so I put him on the spot and said let’s see what you can put us on in spring time....once again he did not disappoint!! Soon as we starting dragging the hardware we landed 2 fast, after that it slowed down for a bit, but shank kept at it and was changing up the gear and we were right back into action! Ended up going 15/16 mostly chinooks and a couple cohos...awesome day thanks again shank!!!!!!!

Thanks guys.......you did great and hooked up with a great catch!

To other members, I have mentioned before , not all folks want their mugs on the internet......out of my control that is...

Some of you most likely have met these guys or perhaps not. They fish well and in 2 outings have surely put a beating on fish.

On another note, the salmon are still firing really well in specific locations and the speed, depth and lure color changes by the day now.

Basics still apply though.

speed 2.2 -2.5

15-47 down

multi color spoons, I changed around 20 on that trip until I found the color they really wanted.

Amyhoy, off to the cottage to open up and back again next week......gl out there.

Nice catch Lake Ontario is awesome ! Bet you guys will want some more of that action A good guide is needed when not familiar with the waters . Think you picked the right one.
