Today I brought my kayak and tried to launch at Rotary Park at Pickering but rotary park west side at frenchmen bay road closed due to some construction. Then I spent an whole hour to search for launch for my kayak but couldn’t find a place. Any other place to launch at Frenchman bay? Thanks in advance!

Progress Park on the east side.
Thanks but I went to Progress Park but did not see any launch there, maybe I missed it.
Far right side of the park there is a dock and a little area to slide a canoe or kayak in. If you have a big pedal kayak on a trailer you either have to take it off and drag 100ft or so or see if one of the marinas will let you use their launch.

I'm still wondering why a kayak needs a full launch? Are there big kayaks that you can't carry? I thought the point of a kayak was to access hard to reach water.

Native titan propel is 180lbs before you load your stuff in it. Add accessories like double talons, 10"+ fish finder and batteries for it all and they can get even heavier. The bigger kayaks can be rigged up pretty crazy, and while the light get into any area kayak is definitely a thing it is by no means the only approach taken by people who want to fish out of a kayak. Plus if someone has limited mobility/physical disability using a trailer might be the only way they can get a kayak to the water.

Yeah, it's like when bass boats went from 17' to 21' and 300hp engines, some people always want the biggest and best! When you think that some guys are going out several Knicks offshore on the Great Lakes, having a super sized kayak with pedals or an electric motor sure seems like a better idea than the smaller paddle powered ones.
