There are huge ones in there. A tournament last fall had 3 teams weigh in over 30lbs each with one taking the new Canadian record for 5 fish limit I believe. This was in the fall though and I believe most of them were searching for large bait balls then fishing tubes etc for the big girls. Not sure about this time of the year but you peg one we'd love to see some pictures!

My friends and I have been trying to focus most if not all our trips on Simcoe for these smallies. Has not been easy finding these 5+ lbs smallies. So far hundreds of 1-2 lbs. lure size from 3 to 12 inches. I know the fall is suppose to be better.... but we have been working hard on trying to catch them all season. Big lake and so much depth and changes. We are obsessed with trying to figure it out and not going to stop until we do. Crazy a whole day on Simcoe and we barely cover 1% of the lake. So 100 days I figure we will dial it in! Lol

Right on using leeches for the smallies. Caught 7 between 2 & 3 lbs in 2 hours using leeches under a slip bobber in 10 - 15 feet of water over sand and boulder bottom.
